“gossips” an amusing Matching game, helps improve memory with real life illustrations by Norman Rockwell and The Saturday Evening Post. Cover Post: March 6, 1948.
Stumbling across this hilarious cover reminded me of several people in my life. The dated images, great expressions, hairdos and hats of the 40's will encourage memory recollection, concentration and problem solving skills and bonuses of smiles and laughter.
Anyone can play gossips card game by adding or taking away sets, beneficial Game for seniors, Memory Improvement Activities for Alzheimers and Dementia patients.
gossips can be played as a Match Game or solitaire. Some Activity Directors play the game as a show and tell, giving each a card; making stories up about what the person is saying or feeling.
Match game one must find the matching cards. There are 15 different images, 2 of each for a total of 30 playing cards and 1 Instruction card. Number of players: 1 – 6+
If you are playing with a person who has Alzheimer’s or dementia, I play the game a little different. Instruction card included.
